November 20, 2023 - Just like others say, it is predominantly oak and all the attributes that go along - vanilla, malolactic creaminess, cloves. Just enough juicy acidity to help offset the high alcohol. Tannins are barely present. This is not the wine to have when you're looking for "expression of terroir". This is really a party-with-the-neighbors type of bottle. But I will say that thanks to the light tannins, it does pretty good with food. I might prefer this over the usual Cab or Pinot that you get in a plastic cup in the lobby at the Philharmonic, too. Followed over six hours and it was still developing in a slightly positive direction, but I don't expect to see any real magic down the line with aging. The underlying structure and balance just don't warrant it.

October 7, 2023 - P&P; Lots of oak on this one, from the wood on the nose all the way to the vanilla on the finish. Decent black fruit showing after some air, along with baking spices and espresso. Good mid-week drinker. Drink now - 2029.

May 10, 2023 - Definitely has that oaky over the top quality. A little leather and lots of oak on the nose. There’s not much you can say about the fruit because it’s so covered up by oak. Coffee gives way to vanilla on the mid-palate and it finishes with some darker fruit, baking spice and cane sugar. Very much not my thing.

May 9, 2023 - There seems to be a "manufactured" style to this one. The woodiness gives me the sense of chips over barrels. The tennis seem more inserted through something like Mega Purple which is created from skins. Even the acid builds awkwardly in the mouth through the finish. Each component seems to work independently and are pronounced, not in an integrated way. I'll give you that the aroma is quite appealing. It was a bit better with food. Hard to assign a score as it's a personal overall dislike.

May 5, 2023 - Dark fruit on the nose with a dark cherry red color. Taste of blackberry, coffee, leather. Heavy tannins and lingering aftertaste but surprisingly medium light mouth feel. Recommend waiting until 2027+ for more definition.

March 3, 2023 - a big one dimentional. Nose is more complex than on the palate. Finish falls very flat.

January 31, 2023 - Fruity notes but not sweet. Medium body with mild acidity and smooth tannin. Washington cabernet sauvignon that was easy and enjoyable drinking. Will buy again and would recommend. Some may want a more complex in the wine.
