    January 8, 2012 - Felt the heat on this a little, but it wasn't over-obtrusive. Very spicy on the nose, bright and fruity on the palate. Sorry that this is my last bottle of this vintage. A very nice "modern" zin.

    November 8, 2011 - This has gotten much more integrated and mellowed out. Still has nice big jammy fruits and bold black pepper & spice. Could still easily go a couple more years. Nice and yummy.

    September 28, 2010 - Way too hot for my taste. Fruit was good, but even after lowering the serving temp and decanting, the alcohol never blew off to make this a truly enjoyable bottle of wine.

    November 8, 2008 - Waited a whole year before trying my first bottle and I am glad I did. Lots of jammy fruit on the nose. Smooth mouthfeel with no detectable heat. Nice, long finish. Not very complex but a good all around zin.

    November 2, 2008 - Drank my 2nd bottle of 3 Halloween night. Last year, the wine really struggled because of the alcohol heat (much better the next day). Decanted this bottle for 2+. No formal tasting notes, other than the heat is gone and the fruit was "bigger" last year. I think that this is getting close to the drink now window.
