April 2, 2021 - Sous bois, flowers, earth, alongside an array of red and black fruit. Decent for the vintage with moderate length, yet it is a bit short of weight and density. The sweetness somewhat offsets that shortfall. 91-92

December 4, 2020 - What a beautiful nose, wow! Sous bois, some cherry flavors, spices, very lifted and intriguing. Great acidity and quite light bodied on the palate with tart berries and blood orange flavors. Tons of depth and complexity. Drinking perfectly right now. Really appealing and at the same time fascinating and hard to understand. This is a showstopper wine.

March 7, 2020 - La Paulée de New York Gala Dinner (Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers - New York NY): Clearly ripe and rich, but so fresh bright and balanced - more so than I'd ever expect from the challenging vintage.

February 21, 2019 - Very much Chambertin in the nose with earth and meat aromas. On the palate dried cranberry and tart cherry fruit with a hint of sous bois. This started out wonderful then went into an awkward acidic inbalanced phase only to emerge balanced with those harsh edges disappearing 2 hours later. A wonderful wine up against some tough competition in field of Jayer, Truchot, and 00 Rousseau Chambertin.

December 10, 2018 - Nose is expressive, rustic, even a little animal (which blows off), and floral. Showing the peak of Rousseau Chambertin aromatics right now. Certainly showing older than the ‘96 in the next glass, but holding nothing back still showing and still with ripe and fresh scents and flavours. Ripe and viscerally delicious blue and red berry fruit. Very happy with this. 94-95.

(Rousseau Armand Chambertin) The nose is creamy with a little cedar (à la 2004), not bad. The palate is fresh and complex and medium weight but very long. Blind, this would be hard to place as a 97. This is very good.
