March 24, 2024 - Medium ruby color with clarity, brightly toned, clear edges. Aromas of fig paste, black cherry & ripe strawberry, with fresh hibiscus, clove, smoked cedar and black tea. Expressive and long red cherry, red plum and fig fruit on the palate, with integrated secondary nutmeg, tobacco, tea and lavender spices. Light-to-medium bodied, with fine elegant density and presence throughout, lifted with fresh, succulent acidity and closing with fine silky tannins, finishing with lengthy notes of zesty red fruit zest and oolong tea. Excellent. 93+ with further improvement over the next 5 to 10 years.

January 26, 2024 - Ringer for Pinot on the nose: cherry juice, fresh herbs, forest floor, “p funk”, some tea and a tinge of gunpowder - quite complex. Juicy red-fruited palate with cherry, strawberry, raspberry complimented by cinnamon spice, leafy herbs, graphite & black tea. Fresh mid-weight pinot with great structure and persistent finish - super.

January 23, 2024 - Lighter yet refined, a freshness to it. And yet dried fruit and the smallest hint of smoke. Weird. Grew on me over time. Light tannins adding a little grip at the end.

December 3, 2023 - The wine is light to medium bodied with a nice crimson color. It has nice red fruits, and is very savory with modest tannins and medium acidity. It is quite enjoyable.

November 24, 2023 - Lighter ruby color. This is perfumed, but feels very classic at the same time. Notes of pure red berries, but also some tobacco, dried herbal notes, some graphite, and notes of spices complete the overal more savory than fruity/sweet profile. It‘s lighter-medium bodied, with very good persistence though, it has medium-high acidity and some lower-medium tannin adding a little grip. It‘s very elegant and fresh, with a pretty long finish. A really nice Pinot Noir from the Sta. Rita Hills / Santa Ynez Valley. I like this a lot.
