May 13, 2013 - Nice bottle age, smooth delicate and noticeable flavors. Just really never completely opened up for me..seemed rather muted in the glass even after 3 hours decanted. Feel like it may have peaked and then some.

November 23, 2012 - Boekenhoutskloof Winemakers dinner. (@ Bottles; Sas van Gent, Netherlands): Marc Kent told us that in this 2001 there is about 4 - 5 % Cab. Franc in the wine. In the bouquet beautiful dark and red berries as well as a pleasant touch of barnyard. On the palate the same impressions, beautifully mature with sweet spices, good acidity and soft tannin.

August 23, 2010 - Black currant, mint, herbs, chocolate and tobacco on the nose. Fullbodied wine, perfectly balanced and long finish. Will last for a few more years.

December 20, 2006 - Had the bottle just to check it was still ok. Not overly impressed with it but had it with friends very cold and not decanted so maybe not the best guide
