May 23, 2022 - Réduction/Déviante
March 18, 2022 - Encore ample et musclé, pour la finesse
on repassera. Trop imposant pour moi.
Je passe.
December 25, 2021 - Big, bold, & boisterous. Took a solid 3-4 hours of decanting before it settled down and opened up. Really tasty stuff overall. Amazingly years left to go. Had I another bottle, I wouldn't open until 2025. Had with charcuterie, deserved some red meat.
November 4, 2021 - Deep purple/red color. Aromas of cassis and blackberries, violets and oak spices. Full bodied, ripe fruit in the mouth with excellent depth and length. Although high in alcohol, balanced and supple on the palate. At peak.
February 6, 2021 - Intriguing and unquestionably Syrah. There's a certain concentration that takes one away from the Rhone but that's where it ends. From where could this be? Despite the 15% alcohol, the bacon, pepper, and black olive components are there and in balance. Never would have guessed Chile.
November 17, 2020 - Resolved tannin. Smooth and vivid fruits driven with tamed oak influence. Fine acidity for a Syrah. It's a full body wine without mistake. Very good now with foods for it's level.
January 17, 2019 - Smoky, meaty, spicy, herbal, on the nose with notes of blackberry. On the palate sweet and generous, great acidity, soft tannins, smoky, spicy, smooth. A bit minerality towards the vibrant finish. Long, intense and just delicious. No rush at all drinking up. 93-95
May 20, 2018 - Deep garnet color in the glass.
Muted aromatics. I get hints of beautiful chocolate, candied black raspberry, toasted marshmallow, and mineral notes. The aromatics are incredible, however you'll only notice them if you are very clinical about this one. If it just happens to be in a dumb phase, then this could evolve into a strong and loveable wine.
In the mouth, it open up a little bit. The tannins are strong and slightly underripe.
November 26, 2016 - Impressive! Still demands decant - or hold
July 18, 2016 - Lots of lavender and herbs. Opened very quickly to a smooth, wonderful tasting experience.
