January 6, 2024 - Perfect Zin. Open for about 45 minutes in a restaurant. That amount of time was fine.

March 24, 2023 - Has the characteristics of a big, jammy Lodi zin, but it's a more subdued and nuanced. Strawberry, blueberry, cedar, and some sugary sweetness. Nice, though a bit too much of the sweet note for my taste.

October 23, 2022 - From a morning tasting at the Amador location. My notes are sparse and based on memory. 14.9% ABV. This had a more developed nose than the Old Vines. At first, I thought about oak influences, but there was more there to enjoy with the kitchen spices and fruit. Of the wines I tasted, this was probably most reminiscent of Tegan's Sandlands bottlings in style. 89-90

September 24, 2022 - Nose is Maraschino and Cali garrigue. Good juicy fruit and a Candy Stripe gum vibe. Middle is denim and sweat with membrillo and more cherry. So smooth and vibrant. Just terrific stuff

September 3, 2022 - Very nice over several days with a RePour. Lighter than your average Turley and very nice in all respects. Not too high alcohol either. Lots of red and blue fruit and some earth.

August 9, 2022 - Very good.....as expected. Classic Zin. Opened for most of 2 hours, but could have used a little more time open.....or a decant.

August 9, 2022 - Second bottle for me and even a tad bit more delicious than the first bottle I poured about 2 months ago.

June 24, 2022 - Popped a bottle on grilled and seared angus burger night (burgers served on rolls with dijon mustard, and sherry glazed grilled onions and mushrooms) and this cuvee, while impressive today when tasted at an internal temperature of 60 degrees or so, will only get better. Graphite tastes with anise, strawberry, spice, and meaty overtures. Great nose and pronounced aftertaste. Went well with the burgers. Only bought three bottles of this cuvee and will wait a year until tasting the second bottle (unless of course that the cork seems to pop out on its own--I've told Larry and crew that this is my only complaint with his wines. I go to my well established and pricey cellar looking for that special bottle and the next thing I know is that I see a Turley bottle with a cork that just happened to pop out. LOL).
