September 3, 2023 - Built for food. So glad I had it with a meal.

July 21, 2023 - Citrus, hint of grapefruit, green apple and grass. Nice density, medium body, 14.1% ABV, with a strong saline note for cut and tension. I have limited SB experience, but this was perfect on a summer afternoon.

July 15, 2023 - On the nose- Fresh tropical fruits, fresh peaches, fresh grapefruit, fresh honeydew melon, gooseberry, passionfruit, white flowers

On the palate- Fresh tropical fruits and fresh peaches, fresh grapefruit and fresh honeydew melon, gooseberry and passionfruit with a hint of white flowers. This wine is drinking KILLER now but can age another 3-5+ years without any problem.

March 1, 2023 - Opened not decanted and served chilled. Dark citrus attack on the entry; medium body in weight; lemon and lime citrus with brown sugar notes (from the oak) on the palate; ends with a spicy citrus finish. Good.

This was a gift. The price tag of $29 was still on the bottle. While I appreciate the gift, I would not be spending that money for a SB (although I use to but only for Merry Edwards). I would rather go for a FR or NZ import under $18, as I’m trimming back on my wine expenditures.

December 16, 2022 - Interesting nose, with notes of Meyer lemon and cinnamon. The palate has really nice flavors, showing notes of fruit, spice, and wet stone. Might be the nicest vintage of the basic Bedrock SB yet.
