October 26, 2023 - Just like two earlier bottles. A great value. It has its own taste profile.....on the tart side.

April 15, 2023 - A beautiful pour for elegant dining or slow, studious sipping. Most notable quality is the creaminess of this Sauvignon Blanc, a rare quality for this varietal.

February 26, 2023 - Nice wine. Good value. Resembles NZ’s Sauvignon blanc

January 27, 2023 - Recent one off ($17.99) from Costco. On the nose and palate, medium potent notes of limes, white grapefruit, guava and tart peach, white melon, white florals and river rocks. Crystalline, light to medium body and legs. Well focused and powerful acidity, no heat. VG complexity, intensity and persistence. Bought primarily as a somewhat more upscale cooking wine for crab mac & cheese and scampi—excellent both in and with—this was a really pleasant surprise. Powerful yet subtle and the same time, there was none of the over top grassiness or even tart citrus that characterize too many CA and NZ SBs (even if I can like that from time to time). This is taut, lithe and crisp, and while likely best appreciated sitting outdoors in Calistoga in July as you kick back in short sleeves, your wife in her fetching sundress, thinking about how there’s nowhere you’d rather habituate than NorCal, you can more than make do with in on a chilly January evening as you await the warming and lengthening days. I have a real soft spot for this varietal when it’s done right, and this smacks the target bang on. The SB tourists may have moved on, first from NZ and then Sancerres, but I’m still here. First ballot Cheapo HoFer. Drinking well now off the pour but stayed strong for three days, so while you may not want to bury this in your backyard for consumption in the 2040s, the CT drinking window of 1 year (!) is ridiculously abbreviated. 92+
