February 18, 2023 - Very sexy brambly fruits, sweet and rich on the palate, with a slight hint of earthiness, a very lengthy finish! Remarkable stuff!

January 18, 2023 - Decanted for ~2-hrs, this showed very well amongst the 6 Bords (the 5 others being '82 Pontet C., '10 Mouton, '98 Lafite, '05 Larcis D. & '09 SHL). Tobacco, mushrooms, a bit of funk, some earth - this probably had the most engaging bouquet. Still strong on the palate as well, but perhaps it had more competition with the exception of the '82 Pontet C. One could pick out plums, black-berries, some leather & chocolate - this was somewhat "in-between" the FGs & the more "modern" pair of Larcis D. & SHL (these 2 had a great balance of intensity & suaveness). Nice! Believe it can still improve with a bit more bottle age...

January 13, 2023 - This bottle was at times unforgiving and expressive over many hours. Eventually, it opened up to nice aged aromas of blackberry, black cherry, tons of graphite, earth, smoke, a little barnyard, and tobacco. Cranberry, red cherry, blackberry, earth, and herbs on the palate. Nice acidity, firm-ish tannins, medium finish. Delicious. Overall, it was a nice experience, but it required a lot of patience.
