February 18, 2023 - Very sexy brambly fruits, sweet and rich on the palate, with a slight hint of earthiness, a very lengthy finish! Remarkable stuff!

January 18, 2023 - Decanted for ~2-hrs, this showed very well amongst the 6 Bords (the 5 others being '82 Pontet C., '10 Mouton, '98 Lafite, '05 Larcis D. & '09 SHL). Tobacco, mushrooms, a bit of funk, some earth - this probably had the most engaging bouquet. Still strong on the palate as well, but perhaps it had more competition with the exception of the '82 Pontet C. One could pick out plums, black-berries, some leather & chocolate - this was somewhat "in-between" the FGs & the more "modern" pair of Larcis D. & SHL (these 2 had a great balance of intensity & suaveness). Nice! Believe it can still improve with a bit more bottle age...

January 13, 2023 - This bottle was at times unforgiving and expressive over many hours. Eventually, it opened up to nice aged aromas of blackberry, black cherry, tons of graphite, earth, smoke, a little barnyard, and tobacco. Cranberry, red cherry, blackberry, earth, and herbs on the palate. Nice acidity, firm-ish tannins, medium finish. Delicious. Overall, it was a nice experience, but it required a lot of patience.

July 22, 2022 - unknown blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc

Dark garnet, deep opaque core, slightly widened rim

Bouquet is so characterful. A little funky at first. Lots of savory cassis notes, sauteed shitake mushroom, barnyard, fertile soil, unlit tobacco leaf, gunpowder smoke, cured meat

Medium bodied, resolved tannin, dry. Palate is clean and on the soft side. Cassis, blackberry, black cherry, dark plum. English breakfast tea, garden herb, old leather, and still some oaky aftertaste which is quite surprising considering its age.

This is a superb Cos. I have never tasted a newer Cos like this. Very classic and classy. Lean with no unnecessary excess. I can be with this Cos wholeheartedly. Sadly, I don't think there will be any Cos like this in the future. Remnant of the years gone by. Drink now. 93

June 12, 2022 - DWS in La Boheme, (By RVe): Dark berries, cigar, coffee and chocolate in the bouquet. On the palate dark berries, chocolate, sweet spices, oak, beautiful acidity and tannin with still a beautiful bite. What a positive surprise. Ten years ago I thought this wine was at its peak, but it is still going strong and absolutely a feast in the glass.

May 7, 2022 - ruby red color (not showing its age). smoke/cedar/cherry/couph syrup on the nose that gathers complexity with lead pencil notes in the midpalate and beautiful lingering tannins at the finish. Not sure its going to get a lot better with age (but maybe). drinking window should be long. Yay Cos!
