Community Tasting Notes 10

June 13, 2017 - Shows earth and flowers on first sniff. Has the same savory elements. Still holds its fruit. Turning just a touch bloody. But the fruit still dominates. Fresh and lively. Shows aged, but not over the hill.

October 20, 2010 - Took about an hour for the nose to develop...classic sangio smells. Mature but not too old. Nice dry, but not tannic finish. To my palate, more interesting and attractive than a recently consumed Balifico of the same vintage. In no immediate danger of going over the hill, but also not clear why one would wait any longer.....

December 26, 2009 - Medi body, very silky tannins. Has dark cherry, black berry and some plum, sweet tobacco, chalk, lightly toasted leather and a hint of spice. Great food wine.

June 20, 2009 - Tuscan Reds and Pinot Gris of the World (Farpointe Cellar): The nose had earth, cherry, violets, and some raspberry towards the end. The palate was soft, and had floral notes, cherry, cedar, and a raspberry finish.

June 7, 2009 - The nose had a nice backbone of cedar, along with sweet cherry, raspberry, vanilla, and some spicy earth at the end. The palate was smooth and slightly sweet, and had cherry, cedar, pepper, and a faint oaky finish.
