    May 19, 2023 - medium intensity
    ruby to slight garnet rim
bright red cherries and sweet vanilla nose
    medium plus acidity
    medium plus alcohol
    medium body
    Red fruit, slight pith
Somewhat dry but very fine tannin
Pinot fans will like this longer finish, dryer red fruit more elegant wine.

April 29, 2023 - This is not good. Taste like grape juice gone slightly bad. Could have been a bad bottle but nothing to compare it to

December 5, 2022 - tiniest bit of brown starting to creep in. otherwise, transparent almost like a watered down barolo or something. this bottle had a great deal of sediment on the cork, but decanting with a fine metal strainer left no discernable negative effect on the wine.

the nose is something that i can't quite place, but is extremely specific. the red haribo gummi bears? cherry jolly rancher? that's what hits me first, but there's nice cranberry, raspberry, and some herbal-y (barrel?) spice-y notes nicely integrated as well.

wonderful balance between ripeness and freshness in the fruit. minerally (at least what i think people mean by that hah). super silky mouthfeel, like if you suck on a haribo gummi bear, where it's almost a thick, silky, glycerin-y feel. but i'm fairly sure the effect is accomplished via alternative means. absolutely dry wine, despite my gummi bear comparisons. finish isn't quite as impressive as everything else with this wine so far, which is maybe the only let down in my opinion.

wonderful food wine, extremely quaffable. love this wine.

October 28, 2022 - In my opinion, the 2016 vintage was better than this one. I found the nose to be of tropical fruit. First sips were bright and lacking the usual red berry fruit. The finish was long and a little dry compared to other vintages. As the bottle opened up, started to get the red berry fruit, but slight. Had numerous prior vintages of this wine, and this one is definitely different. Still an enjoyable and fun wine to drink. Paired with a vegetarian farro and spinach dish
