December 29, 2012 - Beautifully translucent in the glass. Significant soft tannins with a nice level of fruit. Really enjoyed it with my Pork Osso Buco. Elegant. Years left.

Smell: Earth, tar, roses, dried red fruits
Taste: strawberries, fruit leather, and hints of tobacco
Overall: Nice and more modern in style...plenty of tannin and structure to last...but more modern than I would hope for. -

February 16, 2011 - Agree with previous notes that this wine needs several hours of air to really shine. Last glass was best. Will revisit in three years.

January 1, 2010 - Allowed to breathe for about 3 hours before pouring, then poured with aeration device. Beautiful wine with strong tannins, but with the aeration the tannins did not overpower the fruit. Great body and roundness with cherry as the primary note with an oak backbone that felt like exactly the right touch. Looking forward to trying this again in a year or two.

January 18, 2008 - big and bold....needs lots of time uncorked...got better and better with air......great big nose of dark fruit and vanilla and flowers. great mouthfeel but still young....needs some aging for its full potential
