September 4, 2023 - Dense strawberries. Drank well but I’d hold off a bit on the next one.
July 26, 2023 - Shocking level of tannin in this Grenache, but it has the stuffing to support it. Dark red fruit, herbal, and dusty tones give way to a chewy tannic finish. It’s only one bottle, but I think his has the stuffing to evolve in a harmonious way, but it will be a neck and neck race between the fruit and structure for the whole time.
July 6, 2023 - Red plum color.--dark, but not opaque. Dark fruit aromas. Initially, this wine seems velvety smooth on the tongue. However, as the wine passes back, the edges and rear of my tongue detect bright acid. Also, at this time dark fruit (surprise) flavors emerge. Moderate level of tannin. Terrific food wine.
July 1, 2023 - Lush, bright, balanced, deep and delicious. Will does such a fine job with Old Hill Grenache.
April 29, 2023 - Deep ruby. Cedar and red fruit on the nose. On the palate depth of fruit, cherries, blackberries, some savory and peppery notes on a very long finish. Still a bit tannic but drinking well. Stellar wine.
February 28, 2023 - Pure and nuanced Grenache fruit. To my palate, one of CA's finest.
January 18, 2023 - Just great Grenache. One of the best anywhere.
