February 5, 2011 - A decent wine with some nuttiness, a little oak, and butter. Nice finish with nothing offensive. ($5)
December 2, 2010 - Screw-top white Rhone; I was excited to get this because this is the ONLY white Rhone I could find at my local store, but I was disappointed. My wife thought it was okay, but I found it very off-balance. The nose was nice (peaches, honey, minerals) the attack was clean and crisp but then it transitioned into a polar opposite. The finish was like candy (but not a good candy, maybe more like a honey-lemon cough drop which I think are disgusting). I tried it again three days later (typically not the sign of a wine I like if it is around 3 days later) and it seemed to balance a bit more. Since my expectations were different, I was expecting it to be ehhhh again, but instead of the awful finish surprising me at the end it wasn't quite as harsh and had a slightly better transition through the mid-palate. It was worth a shot and drinkable, but I wouldn't get it again.
January 10, 2009 - Clean and crisp. Hint of minerals and candied, without the sweetness. Buy more.
October 16, 2008 - echt heel mooi en vol.
June 9, 2008 - Droog, moet 12-14 graden, geurig, subtiel, niet veel body. Kan bij veel: apiritief, vis, maar ook kip Madras.
February 25, 2008 - Hints of apple/citris on the nose and
February 25, 2008 - very low acidity for a white wine, full of honey and orange rind, the wine is lacking depth, but cost less than ten bucks, so there is no complaint
December 20, 2007 - Clean and lean, with flavors of pears and tangerine rind. A nice value offering under $10. Packaged in a screwtop bottle.
May 29, 2007 - color: straw
nose: Peaches and river rocks.
Coats mouth nicely and feels viscous, but not heavy. Turns very dry in a fairly short finish. Fairly simple, yet clean and is a good food wine. decent value @ $9
