April 2, 2022 - This wine is very enjoyable now and fully developed, I think. Subtle earthiness & aromas of cured meats. Rich dark fruit not overexpressed. Subtle ripe tannins well balanced with acidity. Prob OK in good cellar 2-4 more years, but no real reason to wait.

January 29, 2016 - Our favorite at a broad tasting of Roessler Pinot Noirs around 2007, that is a convincing case how ocean and fog cooled areas in California are superb for Pinot Noir. Densely colored and flavored. Comes into the mouth with the tannin and acidity more characteristic of French Red Burgundy. Black cherry and blackberry fruit. The swallow begins with a spike of bright acidity, followed by tannin with a rounded edge that leaves the mouth with a juicy rather than astringent finish. Will be even better in the next 5 years.

October 8, 2014 - Excellent pinot...one more bottle to go. I would recommend finishing them up if you have them. Cherry cola, spices, and a pleasant long finish.

March 17, 2013 - Very similar notes to previous raters. Very good bottle whose time has come. I have three more to polish off by years end. Deep dark fruit and excellent taste on the palate.

January 1, 2010 - Blew away the 2005 Radio-Coteau Savoy that we had side bi side - ripe rich fruit, well-balanced, rich mouth-feel.

March 15, 2008 - Opened not decanted. Dark red in color. On the nose: dry cherry fruit. On the palate: very dry cherry notes with a tight tannic finish. Not giving up much right now. After about an hour: darker berry notes with some earth and citrus that ends with a sharp tannic finish. This needs about 1-2 years more in the bottle. Good.

Day 2: Better on day two after sitting in the bottle. Ripe black cherry notes with a spicy and sour finish.
