  April 28, 2012 - Medium amber gold like a typical Sauternes. Nose is different with molasses. Wife smells tomato and iodine. Nice refreshing taste, not too sweet and nice balance. Refreshing after the 2011 Hans Pfeiffer Beerenauslese we have last night that tasted like Del Monte fruit cocktail syrup. Flavors include salted-caramel, peach and molasses. Nice savory note lingers mid-palette and then shows itself in the finish. Wonderful QPR. For under $10. Mixed verdict. Wife abstains from scoring. I found salty-caramel nice.

  Palate: peaches, medium finish, but then ends flat, almost rubbery. Bottle may have been open for sometime-i got the last of it
