May 11, 2024 - PNP. Light golden color. Tart lemonade and cheesecake dominate. Dry, tart palate, with good acidity.
This isn’t bad, but it’s more tart than I like. Good overall structure.
April 7, 2024 - Lovely. Lots of citrus. Creamy texture but nice acidity. Some oak but very well integrated. Paired perfectly with grilled chicken marinated with lemon and Italian herbs.
January 12, 2024 - Lots to like here. My palate says this has some Chablis style crisp austerity underlying the ripe California stuff. They really got this right. Yes some oak, but not really too much. Lemon and citrus. Nicely balanced acid. Viscosity is spot on. Leaves an exquisite tangerine flavor lingering on the finish.
December 24, 2023 - Two hour slow ox. Golden yellow color. Heavy custard and lemon oil dominate. Dry, slightly creamy palate, with nice acidity.
I’ve seen mixed reviews on this and I’d say it’s better than expected. I can see this improving over the coming year or two. Very solid for the price point.
November 12, 2023 - A really nice chardonnay and a great QPR. A palate of melon, citrus, pineapple and hints of oak. The finish was moderate to long. With Sunday night sushi.
October 13, 2023 - Typical Cali chard of the light oak variety. Seed/stone fruit and a bit of yeast in the nose. Honeycrisp apples with a bit a caramel and nuttiness in the taste.
October 3, 2023 - Same note as previous: Probably no better SB Chardonnay for the price--very similar to the 2020. No oak at all so just lots of SB chard fruit (zippy citrus, a hint of honeydew) and taut acidity. Delicious.
August 19, 2023 - Drinkable, but blousy, tropical, alcoholic and dilute. A cocktail wine at best and nothing Chablisienne about it in the slightest. I bought this based on a Vinous 94 and will recalibrate
July 27, 2023 - Happy with this wine. Great fruit, but also a great mid pallette with some nice acid and a beautiful finish.
July 27, 2023 - Very tropical fruity, full body, long finish.
