April 18, 2020 - Does well with acid, some red fruit, floral, meatiness, and smoke. Balance between primary, secondary, tertiary still exists. Savory. These age really well, even if this probably would have showed more a few years ago. Struggled against food and after an hour of air, so drink up.

March 12, 2020 - PnP the first night and stayed basically unchanged for 4 additional days. This remains very nicely balanced with fruit still leaning towards the primary end of the spectrum. Love the palate brightness and the fruit. Guessing this could go another decade or two.

July 25, 2019 - Cherry and plum on the nose. Light strawberry and blueberry initially, with hints of green alfalfa and green leaf lettuce. Finish is a bit superficial but pleasant. Overall easy drinking and decent everyday pinot, playful and inviting. Nice value wine for < 30 USD at auction.

April 28, 2019 - This bottle drank very similar to the last one. Aging very gracefully.

April 11, 2019 - Recent purchase from WineBid.
Not the most exciting Cali Pinot, but I thought this was drinking very nicely and enjoyed every sip. I never tried it in its youth, but this tasted like it was aging very well and should continue to be enjoyable for several more years.

January 25, 2017 - Mellow boring Pinot. Not bad, just not much going on with this wine and flavor.

June 18, 2016 - Decanted at 3:30 and drunk through abou 7:30 pm. Very refined medium ruby. Precise and somewhat austere. Cherry fruit on the nose and palate with some spice and a touch of menthol on the finish. Good but lacking a bit in depth and layered complexity. Really nice with a local artisan bakery's cranberry walnut bread that brought out a nutty element on the finish.

March 28, 2016 - I thought this wine would hold up better and perhaps bring on some more development. Didn't really happen and my guess is there is not enough structure to get around the corner. Aromatics were light. A bit of dried flowers. Really have to coax it out. Every so often a glimps of something nice. Perhaps improving with air. Mid palate is pretty juicy. Dark cherries. Finish is getting better but is a bit bitter. The acid is there but the wine is very soft. And with the flavors being aggressive it needs more structure. One of those times when I look back at my original note and say, why didn't I just drink them all then.

March 26, 2016 - I was a little skeptical of this wine, but pleasantly surprised. Decanted at 4 pm and drunk from 6- 8 pm. Medium, translucent ruby color. Nose is fragrant with roses petals, cherry and a touch of vanilla/ oak. On the palate there is huge black cherry, vanilla, rose hips, a touch of smoke and some blackberry bramble. On the finish its smooth with a touch of licorice, but rather short. When first opened it was very tannic but light on the tongue, but with air it got very soft and more fragrant. Nicely balanced.
