November 10, 2019 - Purchased one bottle only upon release so have not followed this through it's evolution.
Time to drink this up if you have more, it won't likely improve.
Somewhat port-like on the nose, with plummy darker fruit and no freshness.
Elegant, medium bodied and soft in a mature fashion. The tannins are completely resolved and in the background now. Not very exciting at this stage, though interesting. Not quite one dimensional but not terribly complex either.

October 25, 2019 - My second bottle from a 6 bottle case, 20 months after the first bottle.

Garnet core fading to a pinkish rim. No purple left.
Not immediately appealing on the nose - wood spice
Good mouth feel with soft but agreeable tannins.
Soft red fruit on the palate - autumn raspberries - which is odd no? Slight bitter finish but not unpleasant.
    Needs food.

October 8, 2019 - Waiting 2 years has seen improvement on this wine. Ruby red color. Nose of Earth, barnyard and red fruit. Palate is mildly plummy with some mineral, garrigue and earth. Definitely not the best year for a VT but quite drinkable, even next to a 2005 VT, which is on the verge of becoming profound. Excellent.

September 28, 2019 - This was dark, ruby red with some bricking. The nose was composed of blackberry, potpourri, black licorice, red licorice and dark truffles and moist soil. On the palate was blackberry, currant and more black licorice. After 24 hours under private preserve, it had become more integrated and seamless. The finish was earthy and reticent the first night, giving away a little stewed cherry with smooth tannins. This wine has aged fairly well for a vintage that was very above average yet overshadowed by the 2005’s and the 2007’s. Best to decant this for 4-6 hours.

September 25, 2019 - Plummy dark fruit with a nice underlying earthy element. Flavors of cherry, red plum, white pepper and spice. Soft tannins. Very nice.
