Community Tasting Notes 2

  • hfindlay Likes this wine:

June 30, 2013 - Not particularly showy but extremely well-knit and in great shape for a wine this old. Lots of red and black cherry fruit still, loads of wood smoke and pepper and leather on the nose, decent color and finish. Not too acidic, but fresh. I was stuck by how balanced this wine was, but maybe that's because I opened it after a Languedoc syrah blend that was super chunky.

September 21, 1999 - Flavoursome, chunky, acidity seems a bit high still.
