February 13, 2024 - Still good but must be drunk NOW. Is fading fast.

January 21, 2024 - Drinking a point. Very classical, tell-tale Northen Rhône. PB was guessing Côte-Rôtie, maybe expecting something like Les Bessards from my cellar, and this is very different; lighter in style, olives, smoke, tar, hanged meat - and fine fruit. Unforced. Drink up - and enjoy.

January 19, 2024 - From Niels’ cellar, served blind. I was guessing Northern Rhône, either Cote-Rôtie or Hermitage - the acidity and freshness led me to the former. Cloudy color, lots of sediment. Typical Syrah notes, dark and dusty fruit, smoked meat, mint and coffee. Good acidity which provides freshness. Good example of mature Hermitage and time to drink up I think. Thank you, Niels. With Niels and Henrik at Møntergade.

March 17, 2022 - time to drink now. Still has some flavor and color but going to fade fast.

December 2, 2021 - 18 months on much improved but not up to 97 or 99 standard. Dark and brooding but this time with much more of the Christmas pudding nose that syrah can have. Still occasionally a bit dusty and rustic but there was so much more fruit and some interesting minerals giving this a complex and sophisticated finish. Lovely balance
