December 19, 2023 - Dull red. Licorice and herbs. Light to medium weight. Crunchy, brambly black fruit, good acidity, minerality, and said herbs with low tannins. I am an unabashed fan of the Abbatucci wines and this one did nothing to stifle my enthusiasm.

November 5, 2023 - Not my cup of tea, but still a good quality wine & quite enjoyably👍

Beautiful mostly clear bright dark ruby red color... the best it can get 👏

Medium body, high acidity, well felt tanines, nice structure but on the rough side of the spectrum🥺

Nicely aromatic, terroir, red fruits, spices👍

Intense & very powerful on the palate: pomegranate, strawberries, raspberries, cherry, leather, earthy, stone, pepper, licorice, white pepper, anise, ginger, plum, blackberrie.

I prefer more balanced & smooth & less rough.

July 12, 2023 - Drink over three days. Consistent with notes from 10 months ago, only rounding and balancing out sooner than I expected. Good crunchy red fruit mixed with scattered black fruit, spices, menthol, and herbs. Still a strong tannic backbone, so drink 2023-2030. Technical score: 91. Enjoyment score: 91.

February 17, 2023 - Wonderful wine. An amazing freshness to the higher tones fruit. local varieties I have never had resembles to me a bit cru beaujolais and mencia. Regardless, this is delicious and would be curious to see how it ages.

November 20, 2022 - Appearance: Bright and clear, the wine is of light ruby colour, with pinkish rim and legs.
Nose: Clean, with medium (-) intensity aromas of red fruit of redcurrant, strawberry and sour cherries, herbal of wild thyme and rosemary, herbaceous notes of blackberry stem, floral notes of blossom. The wine is youthful.
Palate: Dry with medium (+) acidity, the wine has medium tannin of ripe and velvety texture, medium (+) alcohol and medium body, with medium intensity flavours of red fruit of raspberry, cranberry and sour cherries, herbal notes of thyme, kernel notes of walnut. The wine has a medium (-) length.
Conclusion: Good quality Corsica red with an interesting bright cherry red colour, with decent intensity on the nose showing simple aromas, mainly on red fruit and herbal characters. The palate of the wine has good acidity, and the tannin is velvety, with also fair concentration of flavours, but the length is a bit on the short side. It is ready to drink now and not meant for ageing.

October 2, 2022 - A private lunch (Restaurant De Watergang, Amsterdam, NL): Orange zest, pine, earth, salinity, papery tannins, elegant and transparent, polished even, flowers, precise, hint of spice, convincing finish. Excellent.

September 9, 2022 - Opened and paired with mix grill leftovers. Not as elegant as a Barolo and not as full as a Chianti, this is nevertheless somewhere in-between and a distinctive, rustic gem from Corsica. Pale ruby color. Nose brings intense sour cherries, rhubarb, cloves, forest floor, and spicy cinnamon sticks. The palate is light, round, compact, and nervy, bringing a dominant red fruit streak of Bing cherries, pomegranate, cranberries, orange bitters, and sour red apples into a muddled, tannic, and slightly hot finish. This is still very young and needs a few years to settle down and even out. Drink 2025-2030. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 90.

August 12, 2022 - Drank at Hen of the Wood in Burlington. Cherries and spice on the nose. Medium body, sour, tart cherry fruit on the palate, along with dried spices and earth. This wine has a very savory/earthy quality to it. Not a particularly elegant, complex or delicate wine, but still enjoyable. Probably will improve with age.

July 14, 2022 - Nice - getting into Corsican wine more and more all the time. Velvety, earthy nose, cassis, stewed strawberries, liquorice. Strawberry and redcurrant in the mouth, subtle fine-grained leather tannins, iron and cedar.
