February 6, 2012 - Nice red berries, touch of vanilla and slight spice. Tastes like it smells, good red fruit and hint of spice on the back end. I like the aromatics of this wine. This is a nice wine for the price, especially for a summer bbq. It's a little lighter compared to other Dry Creek Zins which is a good thing.
April 21, 2011 - Popped and poured, mellow, yet sophisticated aroma of light plum and a tad of oak/vanilla, that I really liked. This is a restrained, sophisticated wine, that showcases what Zinfandel, is capable of in the hands of an excellent wine maker. First class effort, and excellent QPR.
February 5, 2011 - Delish - had with bbq pork - Hooray!! bold taste, great fruit -
December 28, 2010 - Popped and vinturi'd. Best of the 1/2 case purchased a couple months ago. Very aromatic nose of blackberry, cedar and vanilla...wish cologne could smell this good.
A mature, deeply textured wine, w/flavors complementing and matching the nose. This bottle was at it's peak, hope the rest are in this kind of shape...
November 19, 2010 - Subtle, with reticent flavors of overripe fruit, this is sour and alcoholic, lacking structure on the palate. A poor showing.
September 26, 2010 - Solid bottle. Had the flavor I expect from a zin but was a little soft for me. It lacked the acid and tannins on the back side to make the finish more substantial.
September 6, 2010 - We all liked this, on the beach in Lincoln City over the Labor Day holiday. Popped around 5pm, and enjoyed the soft berry flavors and mellow tannins, soaking up th elast of the rays for the summer. A food friendly wine, and restrained w/some elegance and finesse. Really well done, one to look for in a world of way over the top zins.
August 15, 2010 - Pleasant but not overwhelming. still showing brambleberry like fruit and soft tannins. drink soon
