March 24, 2012 - Clear, pale lemon-green. Nose of wax, dry flowers and ripe pear. The palate is more tropical, medium-full-bodied and slightly botrytized, with peach and overripe apple flavors. The finish is dense and tart, probably including some muted residual sugar. Overall a dry-styled Savennieres, powerful but not overwhelming. Enjoyed variously with oriental chicken thighs and split pea soup.

March 16, 2010 - good stuff - drank it over the course of 3 hours, dug it as it warmed up. Maybe a little flabby, but nice moderately long finish.

February 20, 2010 - Maybe I opened this too soon. It was extremely tight with tremendous acidity. It opened up over the course of a couple of hours, but I still wasn't able to get that much out of it. I'm much more of a red wine guy, though I do enjoy a nice white, particularly those from the Loire - however, I'd rather drink the "Unique" Loire Valley sauvignon blanc, also imported by Kermit Lynch - several dollars cheaper and more interesting for my palate.

August 14, 2009 - Pale straw color. Pretty nose of candied floral notes. But, the essentially bone dry palate, flaccid acid, & bland finish all combine to make for a categorical pass...[14% abv.; $22.00].

March 1, 2009 - Wine House Advanced: apples! floral, almond, peach, wet wool, lime, hay, funky bitter aspect, thot it was Rhone white, but HIGH a’s/Apples point to Savennieres. This is the idiosyncratic savennieres.
