    July 1, 2023 - 10th MW Symposium, Wiesbaden - Day 3: Alcohol 12.5%, 0.5 g/l residual sugar, 0.23 g/l acidity, 3.38 pH
    Vineyard: Lacoste
The vineyard plots are located on the plain of Bonnieux, at the foot of the oppidum of Lacoste, on calcareous alluvia of the Calavon. Due to its low altitude, this area is marked by winter temperatures below regional averages and cool summer night temperatures, thus favouring the natural acidity of the wines. The geographical position also allows natural ventilation of the site by thermal breezes due to nearby reliefs, thus limiting high morning humidity.
Density of plants 4000 vines/ha (2,5m x 1 m), type of pruning Cordon de Royat for Cabernet, Pinot and whites, Guyot simple for Carmenère. Annual rainfall 580 mm, annual rainfall localised in the months of November, January and March, some summer storms sometimes very violent, temperature range -10° C to 42 ° C.
    10-20yo vines.

Soil Type: Soil composition: sand 50%, limon 30%, clays 20%, useful water reserves 102 mm, organic matter 1,5%, active limestone 9%.
Harvest Notes: The 21st harvest began in early September with the harvest of the Pinot Rosé, harvested in crates and a refrigerated truck. The Pinot Rouge were picked on September 12. A wait of a few weeks to reach the maturity of the Cabernet Rosé at the beginning of October. A stripping of the Cabernet Rouge allowed them to mature until October 20th. The Carmenere was harvested at the very beginning of October.
Months in bottle: 3, production 30.000 bottles

    -/-

The wine shows density, spicy, a few reductive notes, ripe peach and apricot, some heavier floral notes.
Palate showing the same flavors, a touch reductive still, riper citrus fruit, some tannins, high acidity, warmth, med body, med finish with some apricot and red apple notes.

November 19, 2022 - John Malkovich's rosé…actually Pinot Noir in this vintage, not Cabernet. Very nice and typical Provence-style rosé.

August 7, 2022 - Light Rose that was an interesting comparison to the Cabernet Version the prior night. Both nice wines, this seemed a little less fruity.

August 6, 2022 - Fairly light color, not quite as pale as Cote de Provence but lighter than many.
