June 16, 2019 - My bottle had aged nicely. Still some heat on the nose, but also solid fruit. Shines in the mouth, with black fruit, mint, herb, and a very nice saline note. This was not overdone at all, and had a nice balance to it.

March 29, 2019 - Hi Public! If you have any of this wine left especially in the 750ml format I would suggest drinking it now. We just had our 1.5 liter bottle and it is delicious, about the perfect time to drink I think. Blackberry dark cherry dark fruit, tiny bit of tar and smoke and coffee. Well balanced, acid and tanin starting to wane and it's lighter than both of us recalled. Definitely time to drink this wine as I believe its hit its peak or has just started on its downward trend.
The wine looks ruby colored. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, black currant (cassis), prune, tar, tobacco, light toast and plum. It tastes like blackberry, black currant (cassis), prune, plum, coffee, tar and chocolate. The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

October 30, 2016 - Showed very well. Solid fruit but like other Abeja's I've had not acquiring mature flavors vs. just getting chronologically older, and with a bit more oak than I care for. A crowd pleaser for those who don't mind either.
