January 6, 2017 - Toasty nose characteristic of chardonnays which have both a lot of oak and age. In the mouth, there is more acid than I expected from such an oaky wine. It gives the wine an undertone of chablis/green apple. The acid is still well balanced with the other components. The effect is of a more refreshing wine.

September 6, 2008 - OC Wine Dinner (Nesai - Newport Beach, CA): An interesting contrast to the Kistler in terms of style and vintage. Notes of lemon-lime, green mangos, and flint. The mineral-laced acidity really makes this wine stand out from the group. A very nice wine worth seeking out.

May 4, 2008 - This has mellowed a great deal since it was initially purchased. While it still has a wonderful oaked nose, on the finish, it is smooth, crisp and yet complex. A great treat. Keeps improving with age.

March 16, 2008 - Nice stuff. On opening, a real present core of coconut and tangering, along a medium bodies frame. Later show same tangerine, anise, elegance and terrific balance--really nice stuff. A chardonnay with pursuing (given that I don't find chardonnay that often compelling).
