March 8, 2019 - Delicious. RosenST1's note below matches my experience. Still time for this thoroughbred to run.

January 1, 2019 - PnP. Perfect fill. Cork wet about half way; came out in one piece without an issue. Medium dark red; no browning. Deep smoky nose with dark fruit and mineral/iron. Very rich and dense on the palate initially, with a long finish; tannins buried in the fruit; intense. This is just beginning its drinking window at age 20; classic NSG.

December 23, 2018 - Blind: guessed French Burg. Aromas of dark cherry and unripe strawberry. Palate has a Sandlewood note which has me scratching my head? Lean Syrah or Grenache? There's a dark plum flavor, huh.. Fine tannins and a light dry finish. Very nice. I ultimately settled on Pinot Noir. BTW the 99 Copain smoked this wine. Just sayin.

December 19, 2018 - 1999s poured blind, with a few unplanned extras (The Winery Restaurant in Newport Beach, CA (The OC)): For me, this showed some celery, spice box and even some tarry/bloody notes when I first tried it in my glass. Hmmm? Syrah? With air, to me this started to soften, with a fruit bowl/cherry quality to the fruit, a bit inky and dark, with some grainy tannin and finishing tang. Preferred the 1999 Copain Dennison we flighted next to it.

October 28, 2018 - Robust and meaty, with a similar profile to the last bottle. Good, but young. Should have lots of life and evolution left.
