April 13, 2024 - Deep ruby. Ripe dark fruit, soil, light green elements, and a bit of gaminess. Medium to full bodied. Perfectly ripe darker fruit mixed with earth and herb. Round melting tannins and superb acidity. Almost completely mature with both the power of the site and finessed complexity. Superb bottle. Nuits St. Georges doesn't get any better than this.

Espresso, elegant dark fruit, resolved silky tannins. Enjoyable

April 25, 2023 - Flower Day, sweet ripe fruit, floral even, but earthy at the same time. Quite grippy tannins still. Better two hours after open, exceeding my expectations here

April 25, 2023 - True to terror and a very impressionable wine. Earthy, dirty, muddy, but then there are rose petal and ripe dark berries characteristic of the excellent vintage fruit quality. Chewy and grippy on the finish, really an intensely concentrated NSG. 92-93

February 10, 2023 - PnP an hour before decanting then served. Medium red with some bricking at the edge. Gorgeous classic Nuits nose; dark red fruits and minerality. Lovely fruit on the palate with little or no tannins to resolve. Quite remarkably youthful at age 24! This bottle was the best so far; hopefully 1 more to go!

December 6, 2022 - PnP. Cellared since release; cork perfect. Medium red. Airy nose of red and black fruits and a touch of spice but not intense. Lovely smooth texture on the palate with iron and minerality balancing the red fruit. Finish is quite smooth with little in the way of tannins remaining. Nice but not great.

October 16, 2022 - 1 of 6 opened at 3:00 decanted and back in bottle at 6:00 served at 8:00. Initial nose was a little dirty, mostly blew off by 6:00. Fruit a little tart, medium density, acidity a little elevated, texture a little rough….I expected better, I am not sure if this was a sub par bottle or still needs further age to straighten itself out.

September 22, 2022 - Deep and fairly dense ruby. Rich, earthy and nicely dark fruited nose. Similar on palate, fully resolved but a plush and enveloping velvety richness. Darker and denser and a little surlier than a previous bottle a month ago, sturdier without the flirtations with luxe that the previous bottle showed. Note, throws a heavy, fine sediment towards the end. ****

August 22, 2022 - Deep and fairly dense ruby. Rich, earthy and nicely dark fruited nose. Similar on palate, fully resolved but a plush and enveloping velvety richness. Smart, but with a sense of the slightly rumbunctious, though stopping short of truly unruly. Real depth and persistence here, and proper Nuits as befits is position on the southern side of the village. Maybe just needs a touch more complexity on the finish for absolutely top drawer, but not far off. Note, throws a heavy, fine sediment towards the end. A good match for rich food (mallard with carrot tatin). ****1/2

May 21, 2022 - A beautiful bottle with structure, which I just purchased. Notes of raspberry, blackberry and currant, with a long finish. One of of very best Nuits St Georges I have had.
