June 11, 2017 - Fully mature, but still has wonderful fruit and solid tannins. Should be delicious for many years to come.

August 4, 2015 - Don't really know what to make out of this. No mature notes, but high acidity with a lack of balancing fruit or power, might be in an awkward stage...

January 22, 2015 - (Mostly) Northern Rhone Night (Browntrout - Chicago, IL): Florals and spice dominated the nose of this exotic wine. I've probably had a handful of "older" Languedoc wines, and maybe it's my inexperience, but damn do they get exotic and elegant. Along with the florals and spice, this had a darker/sinister element to it. Anise, meat, smoke...it was one of those dark beauties. Lots of fun, and extremely young.

January 22, 2015 - Geeky Syrah Night at Browntrout (Chicago, IL): How's this for something you don't see everyday? This is a 90% syrah, 10% grenache blend. A very, very floral and aromatic character on the nose -- almost reminds me of honey. The palate had a lot of that same floral character, and a slight bit of sweetness that was never distracting. And in case I hadn't yet made my point, this was floral. Very different from the other syrahs at the table tonight, but it held its own just the same.

November 29, 2014 - Amazing fragrant nose on this wine but fell slightly short on the palate compared to other bottles that I have tasted.
