    March 6, 2023 - (Disgorged in March 2022, 100% Pinot Noir from Verzenay, dosage 0 gr/L, 2 141 bottles made)
Youthful nose showing an animal character with herbs and butter and some meaty notes in a pleasant way. Lighter palate showing yellow apples and some oily lime zest bitterness also showing some dill on the finish.

October 15, 2022 - Disgorged March 2022, 100% Pinot Noir, no dosage. This is the bottle I brought back from Ambonnay when I visited Benoit Marguet in May. I had tasted it during the visit and liked it so I bought one. Comparing the notes, some similarity in this bottle to May, yet some divergence. This bottle shows more of the smoky reduction, with a bit of coconut from the wood, and yet it also pulls in the same pineapple and saline flavors, too. Yesterday when I opened this, maybe it was more creamy but today it's more precise. Today the same slate, the dried cherry, the tangy pineapple of yesterday but that smoky note woven through, I dig it. There is some accenting grapefruit in this bottle, it frames the red tones and the smoky, mineral finish. Overall, I find this wine to be distinctive, and I've got a source to buy more of this so I'm gonna pull the handle and source a few more. The quality is here, the distinctiveness I like so I want to put this into a blind event and see how my group will react to it.

October 5, 2022 - Lys gul/grønn på farge. Noter av aprikos, nøtter, honning og swiff av kaffe. Lett K munnen ig følger ikke helt opp duften, kanskje. Flott mousse, elegant autolyse og god lengde.

May 26, 2022 - Tasting with Benoit Marguet (in Ambonnay at the winery): Disgorged March 2022, from 100% Pinot Noir and no dosage. I believe this fruit was from Hugues Godme, so farmed at least organic. Initially shows some reduction in the aromatic. A rich concentrated palate, with tangy, savory pineapple, raspberry, apple and saline. Also a savory quality to the lemon pith in the finish. I sourced some of this before I left the area as I thought it was excellent.
