May 19, 2019 - How can it be that this wine, at 13 years old, is still fresh and big and round? Could it be the quality of the fruit from super old vines in deepest darkest Barossa? Maybe it's the superior winemaking techniques? The fact that it's been aging behind the air-tight seal of a screw cap? (the Aussies love their screw-caps!). Probably a combination of all of this, I think. This is going to be enjoyable for a few more years. Disregard the CT drinking window. Big wine; notes of plum, tar, sticks and twigs, and wet soil. Full body. Finish is medium, semi-refreshing - possibly where it's losing a step. Caution, the "fruit" flavors are very sweet. Everything else balances it out. Cheers.

March 29, 2016 - Not sure if the Shiraz is greatly improved with age. Style is often ready to drink upon release.

March 24, 2013 - Decanted for about an hour. Gorgeous nose as soon as it was poured into the decanter. Quite a bit of heat and some tart dark fruit. Good value and I would buy again.
