September 6, 2020 - Six years since last bottle. This is still plateauing. Tasting notes similar to previous notes with barely perceptible decline. This is very impressive for a wine recommended for only 8 years of ageing.

June 14, 2014 - Seems much more impressive than the last bottle opened. The mostly leathery nose hides a punchy syrah pepper attack on the palate, giving way to nice dried herbs on the midpalate before concluding on a mostly acidic finish that simply stretches the aromas for a good minute in the mouth. Very interesting. A last hurrah before the wine fades ?

September 6, 2013 - This is probably on its decline now. The nose is very muted and the palate is now completely lacking the upfront fruit, giving place to a more austere syrah, with loads of spices. The finish still has some weight, but the alcohol is not as well constrained as before. I'm loving this aging experiment though...

April 26, 2013 - The fruit is pretty much gone, but this has transformed into a great food wine. The tannic structure still holds up and there's great acidity on the finish.

August 15, 2012 - This might be just past its prime, but it is still very good and interesting. The orange rim still surrounds a fairly dense and deep centre. The nose is much more discreet than before with mostly leather and pepper. The palate has also evolved to loose most of its fruit, but is still complex enough to sustain interest, though this is now strictly a food wine. The finish is still impressive with still gripping tannins and good acidity. This is a very impressive wine and I'm curious to see how it will fade from now on.
