January 20, 2024 - I know Valpolicella is supposed to be light and tart fruit forward, but this was a bit extreme. It lacked almost any structure, making for a somewhat lackluster drinking experience. Have had much better Valpolicellas, so won’t return to this one.
August 16, 2023 - A: pale, ruby, some haziness
N: crunchy red cherry, raspberry, cranberry, touch of dried herbs, fresh ground spice/white pepper, just a touch of funk
P: dry, high acidity, med bright chalky tannins, med body, 12.5% ABV
C: good wine = balanced crunchy red fruit and acidity, med (+) intensity, med concentration, med finish on red cherry/red currant, drink now or over coming 5 years. Not your ‘typical’ Valpolicella - fresh, light, bright, crunchy, perfect summer red with a range of food, well done.
August 4, 2023 - Very light bodied
July 22, 2023 - Nice, light, gets better after the first day, since it’s pretty fruity and confected on PnP.
May 26, 2023 - Lighter in color and body, with M/M+ tannins. M/M+ intensity and complexity. High acid. Aside from the tannin level, could almost be confused with an older Lange Nebbiolo.
June 1, 2022 - Tasted at the domaine, the very newest vintage, recently bottled. So fresh and so clean! Really wonderful beauj vibes. Fuller than the 2020. Can't wait for this one to hit the shores back home.
