May 2, 2024 - Medium ruby colour. Medium (+) and developing nose with red plum, black plum, vanilla, charred wood, tobacco, black pepper, dried dill and coconut. Medium (+) taste of red plum, dark plum, vanilla, charred wood and black pepper. Medium (+) long and dry finish. Medium acidity. Medium (-) tannins. Medium body. A very good Napa Valley Merlot. Drink now or over the next six years. Goes well with beef or lamb.

July 7, 2023 - Drinking nicely. Rich red fruit.
July 3, 2023 - PNP. Out of a paper cup on vacation. Still young, but nice fruit, ripe cherry and plum, some oak in the background. Medium+ body, slightly grippy tannins, very fresh and energetic. Fruit forward, as you would expect at this age, but really quite lovely now after a bit of air. Classically built, this should improve over the next 5-7 years.
February 18, 2023 - Dark purple bowl to rim. Some dark berries, cooked cherries, lots of clay on the nose. Palate is more fruit than expected, plums, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, not as earthy. Medium plus tannins and acidity.
January 24, 2023 - Just everything I would hope for from a young Napa Merlot. Sweet spice and fruit notes in the nose. Moderately lush mouthfeel with beautiful Rutherford dust, mint, coffee, cocoa and a pure berry thread I can’t put my finger on. Very nice.
