May 13, 2024 - From .375L PnP. I think this wine is not yet fully mature. However, there is already this typical understatement elegance that I like with Vina Tondonia. Will improve.
May 10, 2024 - 0.375 L bottle early May 2024: Rubin red color; red berries, cedar and vanilla in the nose; fruity on the palate, well-balanced by a fine acidity; medium body.
May 6, 2024 - Tender herbal tones, earth and sillage. Wonderful freshness and earthy red berry.
May 3, 2024 - Lovely but too early. Hopefully with some age the palate will pack a punch worthy of its already-promising nose.
April 28, 2024 - This is already in a great place. Bright nose of mature cherry, pepper and wood. Balanced palate with refreshing acidity. Hints of leather and old house lend complexity to the perfectly mature fruit. The tannins are a bit drying but everything else says this wine is in its zone. A good one to drink while the deeper vintages age. This will certainly last a long while but I don't see the depth for added complexity in the future. Very nice.

April 5, 2024 - Very aromatic bouquet. Soft barrel. High acidity and a little soy sauce after sitting in bottle for 2 hrs. Later in glass after 0.5 hr, dark cherries, smoky and sandalwood. Full-bodied. Full of tannins but quite soft and comfortable.
April 4, 2024 - Still very young. Even with a short decant, it started light and acidic, but it developed very nicely over the course of the evening, and into the second day. There is still nothing heavy about it as it develops, but the acidity diminishes and an astonishing complexity emerges -- red fruits and leather and something herbal and a slight tobacco smokiness. I'm going to leave my other bottles for quite a while. If you can't wait, decant it well ahead of the meal, and serve it with some lighter food, that won't eclipse the array of flavors in the wine.
