June 2, 2019 - Flat out great, why do the burg snobs despise nsg and further south.
This has guts length and depth and its value.

March 1, 2019 - A farewell to Tooch (Chicago, IL): Something not quite right here; not entirely sure what though. Seemed a bit heat-damaged, perhaps?

June 17, 2018 - First of 6 purchased on release. Good cork, wet about a quarter up. Dark red. Intense nose of spicy fruit, sandalwood, and iron. Excellent body on the palate but with significant tannins to resolve. Decanted at this point. After 2 hours or so this still shows intense body and tannins at age 16! I can't tell if the fruit will outlast the tannins or not. Perhaps more integrated tomorrow. This shows some resemblance to the LSG 2002 on last tasting a few years ago when it also showed awkward fruit/tannin balance. Too young, the vintage, time will tell.

May 7, 2018 - Delicious. Vibrant, energetic but balanced, great Pinot fruit. Earth and mineral but quite lifted. Medium bodied but with strong character. Great from now for 10 plus years I think.

February 24, 2018 - Lovely. Quite tight on opening but after about 20 min in decanter began to show beguiling layers and add weight. Sappy dark red fruits, earthy tang, mineral, just a touch of blood on finish. Tannins reasserted after 2 hours open. Like many ‘02s this is wonderful fruit that is stylish now and starting to develop but probably 3-5 years away from peak.
