  Overall - note worth the $$, also well past its prime. I feel bad because I enjoyed meeting the wine maker and the philosophy but the wine speaks for itself - It was great tasting when we bought it but probably should have had it right away.
  Color – nice dark purple
  Appearance – clear
  Aroma – nice dark fruit, pepper, and red meat
  Body – medium but rough on the mouth
  Taste – rough and a little plum on the bad side
  Textures – heavy acid/tannins and rough
  Finish - not much except for heat

  April 1, 2010 - This wine has peaked, but is still quite good. Leather and raw meat nose, with flavors of fading sour cherries, leather and sandalwood. Medium long finish and not overpowering tannins. It fell apart on day 2. 88 on day 1, 84 on day 2.

  August 22, 2009 - A: Medium body; dark, crimson color.
  N: Dust, ink, pepper, spices.
  T: Dry, sour, peppery.
  F: Hot finish, but will go well with food.
  Overall: This shows great fruit, but comes through as an incomplete wine. A good effort for a domestic Mourvedre, but poor QPR at $35, as one can easily find much better domestic Rhone-style bottlings at this price. Recommended with steak aux poivres.
