July 14, 2022 - Intriguing oxidative nose but with time I sense nuanced aromas of flowers/honey, fennel, and perhaps grapefruit . GFr took one sniff and immediately disliked. In the mouth it displays a nutty richness with loads of acidity. Transitions from heavy to fresh. Orchard fruits galore, leaving almost, ironically, an ethereal quality on the finish. I really enjoyed this but it’s a style that you have to be open to. Great paring with marcona almonds though in the following order - eat almond, wait, sip wine. If you sip first and then eat the almond it’s less enjoyable.
