  November 4, 2022 - This was an amazingly youthful wine from start to finish. The color was moderate purple with a pink rim. On the nose, the profile was dark cherry and blackberry with light meaty notes. On the palate, the dark fruit opened, black pepper notes in the middle, and rounded tannins on the solid finish. Overall, my expectations were not high, but this wine seriously exceeded my expectations. It was youthful with great fruit, and it paired perfectly with multi-bean soup because the peppery notes really shined with the food.

  October 19, 2012 - Disappointed - had hoped this would be a bigger, more exciting wine. But it smacks of alcohol and doesn't have the balance it should. One bottle of this vintage left . . . we shall see how that works before purchasing more recent vintages.
