May 3, 2024 - 8% alcohol. AP 23. Green-yellow; aromatic, some reduction, pear; palate is medium bodied, exceptional acidity throughout which is vibrant from the moment it touches the tongue, slight sweetness present but perfectly balanced, low 8% alcohol, electric vibrancy on the palate with some richer fruits (pear and melon, but also some green apple); finish is medium-plus length. Young kabinett but well balanced and great depth. 93 for the vibrancy and energy throughout.

December 9, 2023 - Amazing nose with the distinctive petrol note although this was less pronounced on the palate. Good acidity and balanced by the touch of sweetness. One of the best non-aged kabinetts I've had.

November 5, 2023 - Such a richly flavored wine! A very tropical and fruity nose. Candied pineapple, white peach, starfruit all following into the palate along with some lemon zest and green apple. This is a very delightful wine but I think that some age could really help balance out all the fruity intensity. So I'll put my other bottles aside for a minimum of 5 years.

August 3, 2023 - This wine is dashed good, although it does put me in mind of the experience of the duck in the oven with a lemon shoved up its 'clacker'; the sourness is not the first thing it will notice, but sourness there is.

This is the Kabinett style form this vintage that I have enjoyed most from the various makers I have tried. That is not the same as 'the best'. Here we have lovely tropical fruits, apple and plenty of carry and intensity, all delivered in a classic Moselle style. The only issue for me is that as with all the 2021's that I have had, there is, for me a green apple/Malic twist that just doesn't quite feel balanced. I don't think this is the consensus view, so be careful with my assessment.

December 9, 2022 - [Drank alongside 2021 Falkenstein Spatlese Trocken and 2021 Keller Von der Fels]
This wine is so clear, it almost looks like lemon water! Another reductive nose, akin to the Keller (Falkenstein was more reductive). Palate of lean stone fruit, lemon, and hint of lean pineapple. The acidity akin to the other 2021, just bracing high acid lemon. Despite being a pradikatswein, this was dry to off-dry. Hardly much RS on the finish, enough to edge it to a Kabinett. This was fairly uncharacteristic of JJ Prum, but that is not a bad thing. This was very different and very delicious with a lot of ageing potential, which seems to be a common trend with a bunch of these 2021 Rieslings. Excellent! 93+ potential
