Community Tasting Notes 1

December 27, 2007 - A blend of Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, and Mourvedre. A deep ruby garnet color with aromatic nose of cocoa powder, tobacco, spicy black peppercorn, dried cherry and cranberry. The palate is flavorful with spicy red fruit, earthy minerality, and dried herbs. This blend is dry, medium bodied, with tart acidity, medium soft tannins, and a long finish. This wine has plenty of character for only $15 US. Distinctly spicy and a perfect wine for everyday drinking without breaking the bank. 3.5/5
