April 7, 2012 - I really enjoyed this bottle. Medium to heavy body, some tobacco, earthiness, with dark red berries. Very light tannins, dry and medium long finish.

October 14, 2009 - Light color, herbaceous nose. Light, red fruit on the palate and somewhat austere on the finish, but pleasant overall. Drank well with a mushroom tarte.

April 26, 2009 - Good, heavy merlot with cherry-chocloate notes. Not much finesse but a good wine and easy drinking.

January 2, 2009 - Good wine. Deep colour, a bit hot with cherry fruit on the nose, decent weight with a bit of a spicy finish. More than just Merlot? Enjoyable.

September 28, 2008 - Popped and poured. Had alone and with sicilian style pizza. On the nose it's mild fruit a little currant, and some soft spice. On the tongue it is lighter than what I have known of other Williamson wines... There is some heat here, but without the fruit to really back it up. Overall the wine seems off-balance to me. Finish is short. Overall nothing to right home about....

March 7, 2008 - Gift from Marilynne. This 2004 Williamson is thin, very light in fruit and weight, low in tannins but moderately pronounced in oak. And hour of decanting did help to gain some depth but very slightly, this is one of the lightly and thinnest merlots that I’ve had. One dimensional with some bright red fruit in the background. This wine is drinking as well as it ever will, further aging will just allow the already subtle fruit components to just fade away leaving nothing but oak. Rather disappointing in it’s overall lack of concentration.
