December 8, 2009 - Everything about this is just wrong. Very sad because I had high hopes and love pomegranate. I just can't get past the funky tomato/peanut/vinegary nose. Doesn't taste a thing like pomegranate. This one is a dumper, folks!

December 6, 2008 - This was pretty bad. Nose turpentiney/solventy, tomatoey, not desirable in the slightest. Just smelled plain bad. If you minimized your sense of smell's impact on the palate by not inhaling while drinking, it was decent, but still not great by a long shot.

December 26, 2007 - This tasted a bit sour to me. Puckered me right up! Not my fave.

December 25, 2007 - The nose was, in my opinion, dominated by a fresh tomato smell (like the ones you'd get out of a garden.) Someone told me pomegranates were related to tomatoes, but I've never heard that. Fresh out of the fridge, the nose overpowered the flavor and it didn't taste like much. Once it warmed up just slightly, it became pretty drinkable. My problems with the wine was that it wasn't particularly sour or sweet, or pomegranate-y at all. Once it warmed up even further, the nose had a touch of pomegranate to it but was still dominated by tomato smells which, in my opinion, threw off the wine's taste. Once it reached near room temperature, which was probably around 68, it became VERY sour and slightly sweet but again, not much of a pomegranate taste to it. I'd much rather have had a fruity fruit wine.
