October 26, 2023 - Checking my 2020 Pinots for smoke taint. I would say yes on this one but very subtle. If someone argued that I don’t know smoke from complex aromas, I would say they could be right. I would say however that it’s the least purely “Pinot” of any Anthill I’ve had, which would number in the dozens.

May 9, 2023 - Agree that more time in the bottle will be good. Otherwise, very friendly drinking, ready to go now, if desired. Good fruit but could use a bit more length. Cheers!

March 18, 2023 - Medium ruby. Bright, balanced, energetic, with good acidity. Yes, it is probably more reticent than the sometimes rather brash & beautifully saline/ forest pine Comptche Ridge — but this is a delightful and friendly wine. Presumably this will develop and become even more interesting with a few years — but it was highly enjoyable now over three nights.

December 5, 2022 - Much more reticent than the 2020 Comptche Ridge. Needs a few years. 13.5%
