June 8, 2009 - I probably sound like a broken record on these Austrian notes but this one is so classic and textbook it's impossible not to. A chiseled wine, more solid than liquid and laced with gravelly stones that give it a rough texture. The fruit is fresh and pale, lemony in flavor but as strong on the zest as the flesh. It's really amazing how the '06 vintage personality has evolved over the last year.
