    August 18, 2019 - Color: Clear, ruby
Nose: Medium intensity, herbal. Earthy, some bramble.
Palate: Medium body, acidity. Well integrated tannins. Herbal notes, with some leather; ? of some vanilla on the (medium-long) finish.

Won't get any better; drink up!

August 15, 2019 - Was Coravined previously. Way way advanced. No longer enjoyable. Not rated.

May 9, 2019 - This is an excellent blend of fruit from the communes of Novello (Ravera), La Morra, Serralunga d'Alba, Monforte d'Alba (Mosconi) and Grinzane Cavour. Medium (+) ruby-garnet, with a tawny rim. Decanted for more than an hour and then consumed over several hours. The nose is clean, complex, medium (+) in intensity, with aromas of ripe black cherry, aromatic (bitter) herbs, licorice, forest floor, cigar box and very subtle sweet baking spices. This spends 30 months in large oak casks, including some in Franch oak barriques. The palate is dry, consistent with the nose, with medium (+) acidity, medium (+) tannins and high but unobtrusive alcohol (14%). Medium (+) flavor intensity and finish. This is a very classically-styled, very balanced Barolo, which is drinking beautifully now but can easily go several more years. WS 94; No. 6 of 2008.

May 4, 2019 - Color fading with bricking on the edges. Plum and cedar notes. Structured with good acidity and integrated tannins. Medium body and length. Went well with red sauce spaghetti.

April 20, 2019 - Last bottle, sadly. Drinking beautifully, everything seems to line up perfectly now, though it has some life left in it. Cherries, a bit of spice, with a hint of tartness and earth. Popped, poured down a bit beyond the neck, and let sit for a few hours. Then drank over the course of 2-3 hours. Recently had some '06 Barolos that couldn't hold a candle to this bottle.
