March 31, 2024 - Double decanted. Served with grilled steaks. Really good, deep garnet color, out of the bottle a bit flat, opened up after 30 minutes to finish with deep red fruits and a bit of smoke.

March 20, 2024 - Barolo 2004 with the Jeroboam Club (Little Shop and Pantry, Bristol): Youthful appearance, deep ruby-purple. Balsam on the nose, with yeasty bovril-like aromas, the fruit quite muted. Ferociously tannic, quite unyielding, quite uninspiring too, being somewhat dumb, lacking grip and flavour.

June 19, 2023 - Outstanding and fresh as a daisy! I was surprised that the cork came out with moderate resistance and in great condition. No indication of leaks or damp areas were found. Decanted and filtered which as necessary. Deep dark garnet color Beautiful nose of cherries and earthiness. Tasted of sweet cherries with some nice spice elements. Terrific mouthfeel and aftertaste. This bottle was in our cellar from the day it arrived in our home.
